We zijn ook dit jaar weer uitgenodigd omdeel te nemen aan de 48 uur bouwmarathon in Engeland ten behoeve van Models for Heroes. Op 25+26+27 maart 2022. Dit wordt een internationaal evenement. Wil je ook deelnemen? Hieronder staan de voorwaarden. Meedoen is uiteraard belangrijker dan dat het af is in 48 uur. Opgeven kan bij James Skiffins (via Facebook Messenger). Laten we NL goed vertegenwoordigen want ze willen ons verslaan mensen! haha

The ‘ Model Officers Mess’ facebook group celebrate’s their 6th birthday with the birthday challenge.The challenge is to build any type of 1/48 scale model in a 48 hour period from start to finish. So come and join us in the challenge, with us in the back ground as support through out the build but make sure you donate.International entries – this year i want to try and encourage our members around the world to get involved and allowances is being made in the rules. So hopefully the world is truly open to get involved. All i would ask is that you make your timezone clear in your entry to save confusion.
Another reason to get involved and make a donation, we will randomly pick out a name from those that donate for some free give aways throughout the 48hrs live stream.

Our chosen Charity :- Models for HeroesModels for Heroes provide a reliable supply of quality scale model kits and relevant modelling materials to over 40 localised and national military and mental health organisations in the UK. On average we facilitate 150 veterans per month with therapeutic activities. We also promote and teach the scale modelling hobby as a benefit to mental and physical health, loneliness and well-being.With 100 enthusiastic volunteers and the full support of the modelling community we can continue to flourish.
GROUP BUILD RULES APPLY AS ALWAYS.
Rules and build terms – Starting on 8pm GMT Friday 25th March 2022 – finishing on 8pm GMT Sunday 27th March 2022. (International entries are allowed to start at 8pm in there own time zone)To be entered into the Group Build, you MUST comment under the pinned post for the “Birthday Bash” on the Model Officers Mess Facebook page with a simple comment like “In” or “I’m in”The subject matter is any 1/48 model kit of any subject matter.
All model kits must be un-started, no pre-painted or snap together kits will be included. Any scratch build items must be shown un used.You must create a photo album on the Model Officers Mess Facebook page for all your pictures. Give it an interesting title.Post a picture of your unstated kit and build items before the start with a date stamp. A moblie phone with the date and time is great or maybe use this post on your computer screen as a back ground or something like that.
In order that we may all learn from each other, i would really like pictures to include some explanation as to what you have been doing. Explaining technique’s and methods. Extra points maybe added when it comes to choosing the winner.
Post some work in progress (WIP) update pictures throughout the build period to show the progress you are making in your photo album. You may wish to post a picture on the group page separately as sometimes the album will hide the WIP pictures.Sunday 27th March 2022 @ 2000 GMT the group build finishes, so post one more picture to show how you did. (International entries are allowed to finish at 8pm in there own time zone)
A Group build reveal photo album will be created and you are required to post only a max three pictures of your finished build. No later than Monday 28th March 2022 @ 22.59.
Winner will be drawn as soon as possible after completion of the Group build.It is important that you enjoy the process and your build. Please remember it is your model your build.So come on guys and girls, lets build some models.Good luck everyone.
